Gen launched Valkyrie Electric in 2022 after feeling the entrepreneurial call, having earned her FRS B/Master Electrician certification the same year. She's enjoyed the challenge of being a self employed individual and looks forward to many years of business to come. Her journey as an electrician started in Vancouver where she attended British Columbia Institute of Technology for the first three years of her technical training, all the while working on projects throughout the lower mainland. She later returned to Alberta and completed the final year or her apprenticeship and technical training at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2019, earning the Interprovincial Red Seal.

Gen brings a wealth of residential electrical knowledge to Valkyrie Electric, as well as the combined insight and perspective of being a tradesperson, homeowner, and small business entrepreneur here on Vancouver Island.

Charles Gallagher

Interprovincial Red Seal Certified Electrician

FSR B, BC Master Electrician

Charles brings a diversity of electrical experience to Valkyrie Electric, having completed his apprenticeship in the IBEW electrical union while undertaking commercial electrical work in Vancouver, Edmonton, and Victoria. Since earning his Interprovincial Red Seal in 2019, Charles could be found in many of Victoria's new residential towers and housing developments under construction, eventually working as a sub-foreman. After writing his Field Safety Representative (also known as BC Master Electrician) examination in 2022, Charles joined Valkyrie Electric and can found working with Gen to complete residential renovations throughout Victoria and the CRD.
